Lucta's response has been global since the beginning of this pandemic, and we continue to offer support to locally alleviate and minimize its effects in those communities where our activity has a direct impact.
In Spain, we have recently contributed together with Puente China España Comercio, S.L., with the donation and distribution of 1 million masks to over 145 institutions such as hospitals, NGOs, associations and local authorities across the country. In addition to this, in March we provided funds for medical equipment, disinfectant solutions and other individual protection equipment to local medical and emergency services, in the province of Barcelona.
In China, the support to the local community of Guangzhou has been essential, with both financial and material donations over the last few months.
In Colombia, we have helped in providing essential food to families of students at a rural public school and to families in vulnerable situations in the region of Tocancipá. We have also financed the provision of solidarity vouchers for Intensive and Intermediate Care Units.
In the United States, we have worked together with several food banks in both the regions of Mahwah and Baltimore. We have also organized lunches and dinners for medical and emergency services, and donated sanitary products and protective equipment to police stations in the area of New Jersey.
In Mexico, financial donations have been made to the Red Cross, to provide for medical equipment; to World Vision Mexico humanitarian organization, in order to strengthen the economic development of rural indigenous communities and to the Merced Querétaro Foundation so that they could purchase essential foodstuffs for the most affected communities in Querétaro.
